Watch the Painting Come to Life.I went down to Stratford on
one
of my phot-shoot trips, to photograph these 3 horses as a surprise birthday birthday present. I produced
a
draft outline sketch of the layout before painting so the client could check it before painting. I
painted
it at a LARGE size and made an appointment for it to be collected from the studio on completion.

Watch the Painting Come to Life. After having the dogs
painted last year, Dawn decided to have a horse portrait painted for her Mum as a Christmas present.
After
taking the photographs and choosing the favourite pose, Dawn used a payment
plan spreading the cost of her portrait over a few months.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.I went to visit Lisa in
Yorkshire, owner of Tom and Chance to take photographs them on one of my photo-shoot trips following
Blenheim Horse trials. I took Tom’s photograph as he looked out over his stable door which was a great
way
of keeping him still and his head up. Chance, a rescue horse, was easier to photograph. When Lisa
received
the painting, which was done at a MEDIUM size, she was so pleased to see her lovely horses as it was
something she had meaning to do for ages.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.I painted Shelley‘s previous
horse a few years ago after meeting her at Burghley Horse Trials. So when she wanted her current horse
painted, she rang me to arrange some for me to take some photographs. I was able to book in her on the
next shoot trip south. I changed the background to a plain colour wash. I sent the finished framed
Medium
painting on a courier as soon as it was finished.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.Rachael sent a photograph
through the post of a very special horse for a painting for her daughter as a special birthday present.
It
was particularly important to show the colouring on the neck of the horse. So, painting the head in a
landscape format it worked really well to show the white markings. Rachael was over the moon with the
result and was looking forward to giving it to her daughter.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.I met Mrs Fall in the heart of
the Yorkshire Dales. Her daughter was off to university and the horse was to be sold so they wanted a
portrait to remember this special friend. Choosing to paint it without the head collar and setting it
against a pale background.
Watch the Painting Come to Life.As a special birthday present
for her daughter this client arranged for me to come and take photographs of the horses and the border
terrier. By doing just heads, I am able to paint them all on the same painting. She was thrilled with
the
result.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.John's wife had already had a
painting odone of a horse before. As her 40th birthdya approached he sent me some photographs as
surprise
present for her. I worked from two photos of her coloured horse, including the head collar but emmiting
the roset.

Watch the Painting Come to Life.Working from the client’s own
photographs of a horse they had bred, I created this montage of the full grown horse combined with
smaller
paintings of the horse as a foal. I produced a draft outline sketch before starting the painting so we
could check the layout and positioning.
